Silly Dog Costumes
I don't know why we do it but as dog owners we can't seem to help ourselves. Every Halloween and sometimes Christmas we dress our dogs up and parade them around the neighborhood. I'm guilty as charged, I have dressed my dog up as a pumpkin, a witch, a jester, superdog. I've put santa hats and reindeer antlers on my dog. The picture shown at the top of the page is my dog Tana. I went as far as to put the picture on the family Christmas card with the caption, "Tana Claus is Coming To Town."
What makes us want to dress up our animals? Maybe it's because we don't have children of our own to humiliate. Maybe it's just because they just look so darn cute all dressed up. Some of my favorite dog costumes are Halloween costumes, followed closely by decorating my dog for Christmas.
From rhinestone collars, dog sweaters to dog bandanas I believe our dogs know dressing them up is an expression of love. And they just look so darn cute!
